Lights Ministry

After I had problems with blinking lights, I installed remote controllable switches. That means that I can now quickly turn off a malfunctioning spot without putting too much load on our breakers. The project is not finished yet, but the switches I installed so far help a lot.

Currently, I’m training up one of the interns, but I have been struggling to explain specific technical things in Spanish. Therefore, I decided to have one of the Mexican light masters train him. I’m looking forward to work ing with two new, interested trainees.

Sunday School

The most interesting lesson for Anja was when she had one only English speaking student and there was no translator available. She gave the entire class bilingual. It was an interesting experience, but it is a lot easier when you can focus on only one language.

We are very grateful that we keep having children in our class that are giving their lives to the Lord. In her last lesson, Anja had at least three students taking this step of faith.

Bilingual Women’s Bible Study

We started the new trimester on a new day, a new location in the church, a new sound system and a new media system. That meant that we had to figure out how to do everything afresh. Thankfully, everything came together beautifully and the second time we met, everything was ready and working.

Another change is that the band now only consists of me again for different reasons, one being that the new sound system only have one output for a guitar and one for a microphone.

Worship time!

Family

  • Update Baby #3 – January was the month of testing. Anja had to go to the lab where they tested blood and urine samples for different things. Her blood count is a bit low, but apart from that, everything is fine. We also had to go to Tijuana for a structural ultrasound where the OBGYN measures, counts and checks, if the baby is healthy. As far as he could see, everything is fine with our little girl.

  • Anja Scalded Her Hand – Anja accidentally poured boiling hot water over her hand while making herself a cup of noodles. She cooled the hand for about 4.5 hours and then put a Bepanthen wrap on before going to bed, but the burning sensation only went away during the night. It’s been a couple of days now. The hand is still lightly red in different parts and itchy, but there are no blisters or peeling.

  • Crazy Weather – After a couple of days of consecutive and partially heavy rain, the temperatures went up to 24 degrees Celsius (75.2 degrees Fahrenheit)! We enjoyed the mild temperatures and the green that had sprouted up after the rain.

Prayer Requests

  • health for the entire family
  • an easy pregnancy and a healthy baby
  • that the kids in our class get saved
  • for new trainees in the light ministry
