Status Church Planting Class
The Church Planting Class fall semester has ended. Apparently, Chris’ teaching has improved further and Anja has been told that her Spanish has gotten a lot better. Pastor Mike asked both of us to continue attending the class for another semester to be ready when/if the Lord calls us to plant a church. Let’s see what the Lord will do during that time.
Car Trouble
Our car had had problems starting for a while and Chris replaced the battery, but the problem remained. This month, thankfully the car was at our place, it wouldn’t start anymore. It turned out that it needed a new starter. Chris ordered a new one, but saw that he could do a quick fix until then. However, we still needed a car until he could realize it. Thankfully, we could borrow a car from Pastor Mike and it was such a blessing because we would not have been able to get groceries otherwise and we desperately needed diapers.
Passport Appointment in Mexico City
We still have not been able to schedule an appointment for a Mexican passport for Yuna in our state. Therefore, we asked the Swiss Embassy if we could make a Swiss passport under the given circumstances. Normally, the process for a Swiss citizen born abroad would be to get a birth certificate and a passport in the land of birth and only then a Swiss passport. However, our request was granted.
We knew that at least two of our friends had friends and/or family in Mexico City and asked them if they could help us during our trip. We were able to stay in the apartment of one of our friends friend and he even took the day off to drive us around and take us places. We arrived in Mexico City with a 3 hour delay at 2am and our host came to pick us up at 7:30am to drive us to the embassy.

Traffic was apparently worse than usual and were half an hour late to our appointment. Ziva threw up because of all the stop and go, but she did a good job puking out of the window and her clothes and the car remained clean. Anja informed the embassy about our delay and they still received us. We will receive Yuna’s and Anja’s new passports within a month.
We had lunch close by and went home for a nap. The rest of our stay, we spent fellowshipping with our host and his family before we flew back to Tijuana. We are very thankful that God gave us favor with the Swiss embassy, that He provided for our flights, that He connected us with our amazing host and for the time we could spend with him and his family.

Plans to Visit Switzerland
The reason why we suddenly needed a passport for Yuna is because we are planning on visiting Switzerland for a month in December/January, depending on the best flight. If you would like to meet us during that time, please let us know so we can make plans accordingly. We would love to meet you!
Prayer Requests
- for health (we have been sick on and off for a while now)
- for our trip to Switzerland (for divine appointments – also with potential sponsors, ministry opportunities, a good time with friends and family, the kids to make great memories and build relationships with our families and easy travels)
- for salvation for our music blasting neighbor (we have been able to talk to him and invite him to church – he is very nice)
- for faithful attendees for Fit 2 Serve
- for the kids in our class to get saved
