Women’s Retreat
Anja was able to attend a women’s retreat from church. She arrived just in time for breakfast, which was followed by worship and two different teachings. After lunch, there was time for a personal time with God, swimming/volleyball and fellowship. Anja was super excited to play volleyball. The last time she was able to play was before she was pregnant with Ziva. Unfortunately, during the first couple of minutes of playing, Anja overstepped and sprained her ankle. She kept playing, but had to stop eventually due to the pain. However, she did enjoy the time she could spend at the retreat and has been happy with the beautiful bag that they handed out to each woman.

Trip to Matzatlan
Chris’ first missions trip to was a success. After only 4 hours of sleep, he was up and running, working to get the new light controller working in the Matzatlan church plant. Chris was able to get it done just in time for the service at 11am. The light setting wasn’t optimized yet, but the new light controller already made a big difference. On Sunday afternoon, Chris continued working on the light system to perfect it. The weather was very hot and humid, but thanks to the a/c units he didn’t sweat too much. The team also had a great time with lots of fun by the pool and at the beach.

Anja stayed home with the girls, but invited friends over to keep her company and went out to meet them. The girls enjoyed having different people play with them. Unfortunately, Anja got really sick the evening before Chris came back. It was either a stomach bug, or food poisoning since Anja got sick after eating out.

Family
- Yuna has now six teeth – two at the bottom, two on top in the middle and two pushing out next to them.
- We let Abby off the leash for the first time and she came back. We were afraid that she would not do that.
Birthdays Yuna and Anja
On the 14th, we celebrated Yuna’s birthday by video calling people who gave her a present so they could see her unpack and play for a bit. We also ordered a pizza, since she loves it.
For Anja’s birthday, we also called people who sent her a present. Afterwards, we went out for brunch, dropped the kids off at a babysitter and went shopping. Unfortunately, Anja was no able to find anything she liked, so we decided that she could do some online shopping.
A big thank you to everyone who called, texted or sent a present to make Yuna and/or Anja for their birthdays! You made their days.
