Fit 2 Serve

Our efforts to promote Fit 2 Serve did change anything. Attendance numbers have remained low (3-5 people, coaches included). It’s also not possible to have Yuna with me during the Roadshow anymore because she is too active. It would be too much to ask for one babysitter to watch both girls and too expensive to have two babysitters. For these reasons, we decided to change the day and time from Saturday, 9-11pm to Tuesday, 6:30-8:30pm starting on October 4th. Unfortunately, my co-coach resigned due to Tuesday being her only free day.

On September 22nd, we had our last Saturday workout, which was also a special event since a team of seven people from Fit 2 Serve head quarters in Las Vegas was visiting. Seven local people came to the event. The team told me they were impressed by how I was leading the Roadshow and gave me a lot of encouragement.

Dinner With Neighbors

One of our neighbors has been playing Christian music and we finally found out who it is. The family attends a different church, but we seem to share the same values. The husband is a carpenter. He is preaching sometimes at their church and he is the leader of the evangelization ministry there. His wife is the leader of the women’s ministry and their children attend a Christian school right up the hill from where we live. We invited them over to our place shortly after we met. Their kids are a bit older than ours, but they had a blast playing together. We had a really good time as well and we are planning on spending more time together.

Mexican Paperwork

As foreigners, we are required to report any change of address. It was quite simple. We went, they told us what to hand in. We handed it in and it got approved. Anja was able to do the paperwork for all of us non-Mexicans, which was nice.

Family Update

  • Ziva developed a heat rash on her arms and upper body during a long period of high temperatures. At first, we thought it was an allergy, but as the temperatures got lower again, the rash disappeared. It was a heat rash.
  • Yuna had a high fever for a couple of days, followed by a rash. We believe it was caused by a tooth that was breaking through. Yuna is now also walking on her own more and more. She is going places!
  • Abby is now allowed to come into the house. We wanted to make sure she was doing well with the kids and us first. She also went pee a couple of times on our walks. One day, Abby’s face was completely swollen. We believe she got stung by a bee that she tried to eat. We took her to the vet and she got an anti-inflammatory shot. She is fine now.

Upcoming Birthdays: Yuna and Anja

On October 14th, Yuna will be turning 1! Anja’s birthday will follow shortly after, on October 27th. We don’t know how we want to celebrate these birthdays yet. However, we wanted to let you know in advance in case you would like to congratulate either one of them or send a gift. As usual, there are gift ideas on our Amazon Wishlist.
